I started out by thinking of the most popular games to play with a baby, and one of the first things that popped into my head was "peek-a-boo!" It seemed only natural to use the cow that's great at learning new sounds from my other books, The Cow That Went Oink and Cock-a-Doodle-Moo! So "peek-a-boo" turned into "peek-a-moo!" as the cow surprises the reader by jumping out of hiding places all over the farm.
