MY VERY OWN OCTOPUS
						Harcourt Brace
								reprint March 1991
								Ages:  4-8
A little boy can't have a dog or a cat or even a rabbit because of his older brother's allergies.  So he imagines what fun he would have with a pet octopus:  "Who ever heard of an octopus making anybody sneeze?"  His pet octopus could help him take out more books from the library.  His pet octopus would be fun to take a bath with because they both love water.  He could have his back scrubbed and his hair washed all at the same time and never have to worry about losing the soap.  And if he ever fell and hurt himself, his pet octopus would always be there to help him up and hug him and hug him and hug him and hug him and hug him and hug him and hug him and hug him!
