I'm just like the children in the opening page of Dinosaur Questions: "Whenever I go to a museum and look at dinosaur fossils, or whenever I read a book at the library about dinosaurs, I think of so many dinosaur questions. There are so many things we don't know about dinosaurs. The more I learn about them and the more scientists change their theories about dinosaurs, the more dinosaur questions I have."
Ever since our son Glenn turned me on to dinosaurs many years ago, I continue to be intrigued by them. Dinosaur Questions is filled with lots of dinosaur facts along with questions I have, questions my readers have, and questions that scientists continue to have about these puzzling creatures.
I had fun designing my own dinosaur question mark for the endpapers and title page. I had fun playing with many of the conflicting theories scientists have about dinosaurs: What colors were the dinosaurs? What did they sound like? How smart were they? Were the dinosaurs cold-blooded like reptiles ... or warm-blooded like birds and mammals? And of course, the biggest question of all, why did they disappear?
